A minimal piano piece that shows how simplicity becomes emotion.

“Cascade” by Goldmund is a quiet study in atmosphere: just a piano, gentle movements, and a lot of space between the notes.

Its warm, intimate tone comes from the use of felt piano technique — a thin layer of felt placed between the hammer and the strings.This softens the attack, shortens the sustain, and reveals the small mechanical breaths of the instrument, making the listener feel closer to the sound.

What makes “Cascade” unique is its belief that music is not only the notes, but also the silence around them.That’s where the emotion lives: in the stillness, the slow glow, the winter-like calm that unfolds quietly.
